EDI 990 - Response to a Load Tender

EDIFACT

The EDI 990 is an electronic version of the Response to a Load Tender paper document. This document is generated in reply to the EDI 204 Motor Carrier Load Tender information document. This X12 990 EDI document is typically issued once a carrier receives the EDI 204. The carrier then reviews the details included and chooses whether to accept or reject the tender.

The information is then mapped to the EDI 990 transaction set and sent back to the shipper at which point the EDI 997 Functional Acknowledgement is also sent back to indicate that the Response to Load Tender was successfully received.
