Integrated Assortment for Suppliers: Solution Description

Assortment is a complete product catalog management solution that eases new product setup and on-going maintenance. Once product information is uploaded, SPS aggregates, normalizes and validates the data to ensure retail partners receive accurate and up-to-date information specific to their business rules.

The SPS Commerce Assortment solution is divided into two key areas. The Network Zone, which contains all capabilities and activities handled by SPS Commerce and the System Zone, which includes all capabilities and activities required of the customer’s system.

Network Zone

Contains all capabilities and activities handled by SPS Commerce

Item Master: Provides storage of submitted item information.

Data Transformation: Transformation of network data into SPS Assortment service standard.

Trading partner maps: Provides validation of trading partner business requirements including
ongoing maintenance.

Network Maps: Represents the SPS standard data format. Versions of the SPS network map include:

• RSX XML
• Excel/CSV spreadsheet upload
• Manual input

Communications: Ability to connect with SPS Commerce

• SFTP
• VAN
• AS2

Item Synchronization: Manages the submitted item changes (adds, edits, deletes) to the trading
partner based on the trading partner’s preference.

Authorization: Ability to manage trading partner‐specific business logic

• Pricing restrictions
• Item access restrictions

System Zone

Contains all capabilities and activities handled within the customer’s system

Export into SPS Commerce

Setup and configuration of items and attributes by customer:

• Formatted to meet validation rules
• Accurate to match physical item

Image storage in URL format

Business Modules

Modules designed to fill gaps within customer’s system

System map: System Represents a non‐reusable customer specific map built to a customer‐defined specification. This is typically requested when an SPS Network Map is not a viable option (including 832, SAP IDoc)

Data Modification Modules: Modification of data values using business rules or if‐then‐else criteria

• Merge Attribute – Ability to merge two attributes into one field
• Separate Attribute – Ability to separate data within an attribute into another field

Product Inclusions

Assortment Network Maps: Includes Standardization of data into RSX, shared trading partner maps, network map, setup and maintenance of trading partner maps and trading partner configuration, including communication and data transformation.

Assortment Trading Partner Validation: (per trading partner or unique sender/receiver ID combination for integrated documents) Includes SPS project team with guidance through Delivery Methodology: Collection, Validation, Maintenance and Success Management; SPS expert driven design process with customer sign off; Trading partner communication [VAN, SFTP, etc.], with connectivity testing; Document syntax compliance; Confirmed production readiness.

Assortment – Integrated Trading Partner Fee: (per trading partner per Assortment account) Includes Includes: User Account in SPS Data Center (Backup and Recovery, Network, etc.), access to Customer Support, activates Username and Password. Unlimited items, maintenance of connectivity to trading partners.
