NEW SPS Commerce fulfilment – beyond EDI in the digital retail era

by | May 19, 2016

SPS Commerce has unveiled its latest fulfilment solution for the digital retail era, SPS Commerce Fulfilment.  SPS Fulfilment expands the functionality of traditional online web EDI interfaces to deliver actionable insights into what retailers and customers care about – from inventory levels to order status, and shipment details to payment and returns.  All information on any aspect of an order is accessible on any web or mobile connected device, to empower customer service, warehouse, and other staff to positively impact order completion.

SPS Fulfilment moved beyond EDI to draw fast, real-time actionable insights, and is the first system to overcome the limitations associated with legacy systems and traditional EDI.  Fulfilment optimises document transaction and streamlines delivery, shortens order-to-cash, and supports genuine collaboration and minimisation of exception-conditions.

“It is a new world as consumers are clearly and unabashedly expecting retail to be everywhere and orchestrate their orders exactly as they desire,” said Archie Black, president and CEO of SPS Commerce.  “The EDI solutions of the past are not equipped to keep pace with the needs of today’s consumer, as they lack the agility and insight needed by retailers and suppliers. SPS Fulfilment is dramatically different and offers the intelligence to drive profitable order orchestration. It’s fulfilment reimagined.”
