EDI 215 - Motor Carrier Pick-Up Manifest

The EDI 215 Motor Carrier Pick-up Manifest document (X12 215) is an electronic version of a paper motor manifest document used by shippers, or other transportation providers with a listing of the shipments tendered to a carrier. EDI formats include X12, ANSI, EDIFACT and its subsets.

Examples of the kind of data elements contained in the EDI 215 include shipping instructions (including the destination), bar code identification numbers, number of pieces, weight, and other identifying numbers. The Motor Carrier Pick-up Manifest does not provide a motor carrier with details relating to load tender, legal bill of lading, pickup notification or appointment scheduling.
