A buyer will use an ANSI X12 754 document as a response to the suppliers EDI 753 document<\/a>. The information included in the routing instructions gives approval for shipment and the necessary shipment information.<\/p>\n This document is in the ANSI X12 EDI standard, used in North America. There is no directly analogous EDIFACT document in the ISO standard which is used in Australia, Europe etc, with this information generally included in the ASN<\/a> and PO<\/a>\/POA<\/a> documents.<\/p>\n These retailers are North American, and Australian suppliers requiring EDI connection with these companies can connect easily and efficiently through SPS Commerce.<\/p>\n The benefit of the 754 request for routing document allows the buyer to control their inventory and decrease their transportation costs.
