Brokers iconSPS Commerce Services  for Brokers

Brokers and manufacturer’s reps rely on EDI to keep them in the loop about their customers’ transactions. For some brokers, EDI is a requirement mandated by their customers, and for others, it’s a way to add additional value and differentiate their firm in the marketplace.

SPS Commerce’s SaaS EDI service uses an outsourced model so brokers can stay focused on building their business rather than managing an EDI infrastructure. With a multi-tenant, SaaS architecture, our EDI service offers greater reliability, faster implementations and lower total cost of ownership than traditional EDI software.

Our SaaS EDI service gives you the ability to easily answer questions on orders and shipments with updated EDI information such as purchase orders and advance ship notices. What’s more, you gain visibility to ensure your firm gets accurate commissions on shipped orders.

Our EDI service is available in three ways:

  1. Suppliers can give the broker firm limited, secure access into required EDI information via a WebForm (link to WebForms fact sheet), which can be accessed via a standard Web browser.
  2. Suppliers can directly integrate their business systems with those of the broker with our Integrated EDI (link to Integrated EDI fact sheet) service, so the broker firm receives a copy of all orders.
  3. Brokers that work with multiple supplier customers of SPS Commerce can get their own WebForm (link to WebForms fact sheet) account to access EDI information from multiple suppliers.

We also offer an EDI testing service (link to testing fact sheet) to validate the accuracy of new or modified EDI documents, as well as an inventory upload service (link to inventory upload fact sheet) for streamlined communication about inventory levels.
