SPS Commerce Hosts 9th Annual Customer Meeting

Retailers, Suppliers and Supply Chain Partners Meet to Discuss Latest SPS Service and Customer Support Innovations and Share Best Practices.

Minneapolis, Minn., Oct. 31, 2006 -SPS Commerce, the leading Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) provider of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI), recently hosted its ninth annual customer council meeting in Minneapolis, Minnesota, on October 16-17, 2006. The invitation-only event welcomed a record number of retailers, distributors and suppliers in attendance with presentations from senior executives at API Outsourcing, Agile Network, Bel Brands, Lamps Plus, Nautilus, Inc., 'Tween Brands and UPS.

This year's conference focused on three topics:

  • International With SPS' international customer base experiencing more than 100% growth in 2006 and 2005, the conference unveiled several SaaS offerings designed to meet the special needs of global supply chains and introduced SPS' China-based sales and support office.
  • Integration Eliminating data entry to reduce errors and improve efficiencies requires integrated systems within an organization, and with its external or third-party supply chain partners. At the conference, SPS Commerce demonstrated its ability to integrate with customer applications such as Agile Network, and QuickBooks, offer trained integration experts from SPS Commerce and trusted third parties to easily facilitate system integrations, and provide integrated access to third party logistics providers (3PLs) including expanded distribution and logistics services offered by UPS.
  • Implementation Large retailer implementations of SPS' services have increased by more than 20 percent and large supplier implementations have grown by more than 220 percent in 2006. To manage the increase effectively but without losing SPS' tradition of personal service, SPS Commerce launched a new implementation initiative. The initiative ensures personalized attention to every customer implementation including named project managers and enhanced reporting.

“All of us at SPS Commerce are pleased with the company's growth in implementations and international offerings, but know how important it is to stay true to our roots of personalized service and support,” said Archie Black, president and CEO of SPS Commerce. “Each year the Customer Council enables our staff to interact with retailers and suppliers and spend time listening to their ideas and concerns, and sharing our plans and ideas for the future. We are pleased to unveil some exciting solutions to them and demonstrate our proactive response to managing our growth.”
