CABELA’S AUTOMATES ITS SUPPLY CHAIN WITH SPS COMMERCE’S COMMUNITY ENABLEMENT AND HOSTED EDI SERVICES

Leading Direct Retailer to Utilize Multiple Order Management Models and UPC Catalogs to Enable Electronic Transactions with 2,000 Suppliers

Minneapolis, Minn., May 24, 2005 – SPS Commerce, the market leader in hosted supply chain and Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) services, announced today that Cabela’s®, the nation’s largest direct marketer, and a leading specialty retailer of hunting, fishing, camping and related outdoor merchandise, will electronically integrate their supplier community and automate its supply chain using SPS Commerce’s Community Enablement and hosted Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) services.

“With our catalog, Internet and destination retail store business continuing to grow, we knew it was time to automate information exchange with our vendors within our supply chain to streamline receiving, inventory management and logistics processes, improve visibility and ultimately improve customer service,” said Brian Linneman, Cabela’s Chief Operating Officer. “We selected SPS Commerce for their proven ability to effectively help retailers implement each vendor to electronically trade purchase transaction data. In addition, we appreciate the ability of their technology to support the unique requirements of each of our fulfillment models, including items fulfilled through our centralized Distribution Centers, directly to our stores and even orders shipped directly from the vendor to the consumer. We also found their Software-as-a-Service model an attractive alternative to expanding our own in-house EDI operations. ”

SPS’ Community Enablement campaign will enable up to 2,000 vendors to conduct electronic transactions with Cabela’s in 2005. The program includes three distinct order management models including Ship to Consumer, Ship to Store, and Ship to DC, with the potential to add additional models in the future. Suppliers may use SPS’ Testing Service to certify their existing solution, or they can choose to employ SPS Commerce’s hosted EDI services. With thousands of suppliers already online, SPS Commerce’s hosted EDI service is proven to eliminate the time and expense of implementing an in-house EDI and enables organizations to more rapidly comply with customer requirements, including Cabela’s.

“We are pleased to welcome Cabela’s and their suppliers into our community,” said Archie Black, chief executive officer of SPS Commerce. “With a proven program to test or EDI-enable suppliers of any size, SPS Commerce aims to make EDI enablement as simple, cost-effective and hands-free as possible for the vendor and the retailer alike. As the leading hosted EDI service, SPS Commerce offers the security, reliability and personal attention required to support the EDI operations of organizations big and small, allowing them to focus on their business not EDI.”
