David Novak, EVP of Sales and Business Development


David Novak is responsible for the global business development strategy at SPS Commerce.

Mr. Novak is focused on expanding the SPS Ecosystem by developing new markets and establishing strategic relationships with our logistics and transportation partners, channel partners, alliances, integrated solution partners.

Mr. Novak has over 21 years of industry experience in business development and sales leadership roles at companies such as Oracle, Siebel, Sterling Software, Accenture. He has also contributed to the success of several startup companies such as nQuire Software and Information Advantage. Mr. Novak has a history of managing high-growth businesses in North America and the Pacific Rim. He most recently served as the Vice President of Sales, North America Business Intelligence for Oracle. Prior to Oracle’s acquisition of Siebel, Mr. Novak was Vice President of Sales at Siebel, running the Western US and Asia Pacific for the Business Intelligence division.

Before joining SPS Commerce in 2007, Mr. Novak served as vice president of sales, North America - Business Intelligence for Oracle Corporation where he grew revenues by more than 50%. Prior to Oracle's acquisition of Siebel, Mr. Novak was Siebel's Vice President of Sales - Western U.S. and Asia Pacific for its business intelligence division. In this position he helped to establish Siebel as a leader in the Business Intelligence marketplace and was named Sales Leader of the Year. In this position, he was also responsible for strategic agreements with IBM, Microsoft, Sun, Cisco Systems and Hewlett Packard, and he established their business in Asia-Pacific, growing revenues from zero to $12 million in just two years.
